Professor Long Cao received his Ph.D. in the Department of Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He then worked at the Department of Global Ecology at Carnegie Institution as a post-doctoral research fellow and Senior Research Associate. Dr. Cao joined the Department of Earth Sciences at Zhejiang University in year 2012. Dr. Cao's main research area is the Earth system modeling with the current focus on the global carbon cycle, ocean acidification, climate system response to external forcing, and the modeling study of climate geoengineering.
